You must’ve got an idea of what today’s article is about by reading the title. Yes, I’m going on a hiatus. I love interacting with you all, reading your posts and sharing my thoughts with you all. But my exams are about to start. The main reason I am taking a break is that I need more time to focus on my exams instead of writing for a few days.
Taking a short hiatus!
As I mentioned in my first blog post, I really like studying so exam time isn’t so bad though! But sometimes, it’s hard. Exams have always energized me, providing motivation to learn things I would otherwise keep putting off. I always have a few goals to accomplish during exam time and I am pretty ambitious about my goals so I thought this would be the right time to go on a hiatus.
I won’t be gone for too long. I shall still interact on Instagram and maybe occasionally visit other blogs (it is hard to stay completely away!) So it is time for a hiatus, but I will be back!
Bye all, this 13-year-old will see you after exams!
I once was just lying on my bed and thinking about life. Then I thought, “Let’s be real, Geet. Who has time to do everything? I’m attending classes all day, going outside to exercise and studying too. I need to get good marks to get into my dream college. I can’t do everything as I’m busy all day!”
Turns out, I WAS WRONG.
Let me just say this. There is time for everything. A time to be balanced and a time to be imbalanced. There are times when you’ll need to go without much sleep and push your body to it’s limit. For a day, a week, or a month. This is real life.
You will never “find” time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.
If you go too hard for too long, you won’t think as clearly, you’ll get cranky and you’ll begin to lose perspective. You may think you don’t have time to exercise, build friendships, or get inspired. In reality, you don’t have time not to. You should prioritize your tasks and focus on few key things rather than a bucket list. Manage your time wisely. There is time for each and everything. The time you spend sharpening your saw will pay you back immediately, because when you resume your normal routine, you’ll cut that much faster.
You are now at a crossroad. This is the opportunity to change your life and this also might be the moment you have to make the most important decision of your life.
There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroad, or a great dilemma-Afraid, flustered, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days.
Life is full of crossroads, the choices you make can change you. So make your decisions wisely.
Let’s take a look at the first important reason. So here you are. You’re free. You have your life before you. You’re standing at the crossroads of life and you have to choose which paths to take; for example:
Who have you decided to become?
What will you stand for?
Do you want to live your passion?
Who do you want to be friends with?
Who do you want to be in future?
Make these decisions consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully.
The path you choose today can shape you forever. It’s both frightening and exciting that we have to make so many vital decisions!
We all have gone through “Crossroads of Life” at some point of our lives and we all will continue to, forever. ALL THE BEST ✨
JEALOUS MUCH? I hate when people ask me if I’m jealous of someone. Why would I be jealous of someone?! There is no reason to be jealous of someone because we all are unique in our way! Usually, jealousy consists of 3 basic emotions- disgust, anger and sadness. Jealousy may occur in any individual irrespective of age but teens are more prone to jealousy these days. I just don’t get how people start comparing their success to others’ success. Jealousy generally refers to thoughts or feelings of insecurity If you think that being jealous is okay and acceptable, let me be the one to tell you that jealousy is not a feeling, it’s an illness and being jealous of someone will destroy all your happiness.
Stop being jealous of people in their winning season. You don’t know what they lost in their losing season!
Hey there! I’m a 13-year-old.
When other’s succeed, you should be happy. If they can do it, so can you. The success of others does not, in any way, lessen the chances of you succeeding. If anything, it should motivate you to keep pushing forward! Jealousy is just a lack of self-confidence. The jealous know nothing, suspect much and fear everything. So, always believe in yourself and do what you want instead of being jealous of someone else’s success. Your time will come!
Thank you, Almighty for blessing me with my lovely readers! I pray for their good health and happiness!
I will never be able to thank Almighty enough for always being there for me. He carried me through all hard times and never left me and blessed me with much more than I deserved.
Thank you for all the love that I have in my life. Thanks for another day of waking up happy and healthy!
You are not in grave, not in Jail, you are reading this so just take 5 seconds to say, Thank you Almighty for today. ❤
I always thank Almighty when I am about to sleep for the day I had and it doesn’t matter if I had a good day or a bad day. I was breathing, I was with my family, we all are safe, I had shelter, I had books; I had everything I needed!
I am blown away by your compassion on my life, Almighty. Even before I make a request for my need, you have made provisions for the answers. I am thankful and in constant awe of you!
We easily get addicted to our blessings – but the real blessing is Almighty being present through our ups and downs, no matter how hard it gets. I want to praise Him in all seasons, not because the hurt doesn’t hurt, but because He never leaves me to myself. He walks in my healing. His blessings mean everything to me.
Everything will be back to normal! We will be able to come out of our home without wearing a mask, we will be able to go back to school. When we pray, Almighty hears more than we say, answers more than we imagine in his own time and his own way! Just have faith in Almighty!
I love me better than anyone else! Because I’m me! Love yourself and make yourself a priority. Because you’re awesome. And don’t compare yourself to others, you’re too WONDERFUL to do that. You’ve got acne on your face? It’s gonna go away! Take care of yourself. Don’t photoshop all of those amazing flaws on your face, it’s so much cooler when you show ’em off! When you’re filled with self-love you make better choices.
To my way of thinking… We need self-love. Because It means accepting your emotions for what they are and putting your physical, emotional and mental well-being first.
I am the reason I smile everyday! I love myself.
I know I don’t have the same body that a model does, I have thick thighs! I don’t have a flat tummy! and I’m not perfect, but I’m strong! and I’m adventurous! Your world can be so beautiful if you let it. You are more than your flaws! Don’t let comparisons bring you down. You’re awesome. Even with a little bit of cellulite or acne scars, you should love yourself. Loving yourself isn’t conceit; you cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself. Self-love is the key to your mental, emotional and spiritual health. So love yourself the most no matter what! I love ME better than anyone else!

1. When you read the word ‘love,’ what’s the first song that comes to mind?
“Why” by Sabrina Carpenter. I’m in love with this song! This song is on repeat in my playlist.
2. What were your favorite TV shows to watch when you were little?
DORAEMON and CHHOTA BHEEM! Yep, when I was small I used to watch these shows. (I still love them! 😄)
3. What’s a color you recently started to love?
BLACK! But it’s not a colour I recently started to love… I’ve always loved it : )
4. Tea or coffee? What’s your usual tea or coffee order?
COFFEE! I like drinking Cappuccino!
5. Do you prefer writing or typing?
I prefer typing… not because I suck at writing, but typing is faster, you don’t have to care to make your handwriting neat and in typing you can delete typos and type again!
6. How long have you been blogging?
To be precise, 36 days! I started blogging on May 25, 2021!
7. If you could add to or change one thing about your bedroom, what changes would you make?
My room is pink! Pink walls, pink fan, pink curtains, pink bedsheet etc.! I love it. But the one thing I would change about my room is the desk. I love my desk setup, keeps me motivated all the time. But, it would be awesome if my desk has more storage… My room would change if my desk changes, so yes! 😅
8. What are your favorite games right now?
I’m not allowed to play games. And I believe that’s actually right for ME. I may get distracted from my goals if I start focusing on games every now and then. But (this doesn’t happen often) sometimes when I am super bored, I play Halloween on my laptop with my cousins as that’s the only game I’m allowed to play and that too, rarely. 😶
9. Do you prefer succulents or flowers?
10. What’s the last thing you ate?
I had a Mango, for breakfast!
11. What’s in your purse/bag/backpack?
The thing(s) I always have with me in my backpack are (I’ve even mentioned it in my first award post) my phone, Vaseline and my water bottle!
Thanks again, Sneha for nominating me! I really enjoyed answering the questions!
What you see on the covers of magazines isn’t real. They’re images.
Remember, our fetish with chiselled bodies hasn’t always been the trend.
Of course, we should exercise to look our best and be presentable, but if we aren’t careful, becoming obsessed with looks can lead us to severe disorders! So stop criticizing your own appearance because you’re amazing.
Just BE YOURSELF!
Taking care of your physical appearance as a priority in your life is completely respectable and even healthy, but changing your appearance to look like someone you just saw on the cover of a magazine isn’t really admissible. Your goal should not be to look like someone else. Your goal should be to become a better version of yourself.
Life is short, don’t waste time becoming like someone else. Let the people see the real, imperfect, flawed, quirky, weird, beautiful, magical person that you are! A person’s greatest asset is his/her inner beauty.
Treating your body like a prisoner of war to be accepted by someone else is never worth it. Don’t worry too much about what others think because who you are is all that matters. You are more than you think you are. So, don’t try to be like someone else you saw on the cover of a magazine.
Even if it hurts someone’s feelings, even if you disappoint people, even if you’re judged – it’s okay to say “NO” to anything and anyone that causes you pain or makes you uncomfortable.
You can be a good person with a kind heart and still say “NO”.
It’s okay to say “NO” to someone you love. It’s okay to say “NO” to a friend. It’s okay to say “NO” to your parents. It’s okay to say “NO” if you need to take care of yourself first. It’s okay to say “NO” if you don’t have time.
Sometimes you just don’t want to do something. Maybe you have the time, but you’d rather spend it relaxing with your family or focusing on your self care, and there’s nothing wrong or selfish about that because you’re allowed to put yourself first. However, if you can go a step ahead and explain the logic to the person as to why you acted like the way you did….it will be appreciated.
We remain so unaware of the power of our words, and utter them without giving an ounce of thought and we end up hurting someone’s feelings.
Cyberbullying is a widespread problem today. Cyberbullying is bullying that is prevalent on digital devices like cell phones, computers etc. This is mostly done on social media platforms. A lot of people are now being a victim of this.
I’m a 13-year-old who completely understands that making brusque comments and making fun of someone’s appearance isn’t acceptable.
Calling someone names might make you feel good about yourself for a few seconds but I hope you realize that it’ll never solve your problems for good. And it ends up ruining someone else’s day too!
Imagine somebody out there genuinely believes he’s a loser just because of you, because of a joke, a meme, a comment you made just to look cool in-front of your followers, but not everyone’s born with a thick skin & not everyone can withstand the harsh criticism.
I myself have seen a lot of comments on social media like “You’re ugly!” and “What an idiot you are!” Guys, just think, are these the things to say to someone on their face and that too on social forums, where everyone can see it? Please don’t be the reason behind an artist having to think a 100 times before displaying their art or expressing themselves. How can people be as hard as nails? Be kind to everyone. And if you feel like writing mean things about someone, just don’t! You never know what someone is going through and how your words will affect them.
And never forget this, that no matter what they do or say, don’t you dare doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth. Just keep shining like you do!
Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the award’s creator nor the blogger that nominated you can be nominated.
At the end of 2021, every blog that ping-backs the creator’s original post will be entered to win the 2021 Outstanding Blogger award questions.
Time to answer the questions!
With whom do share your most embarrassing moments/secrets ? 😅
I share my secrets with my Mom or my best friend because these are the people I can trust the most! I also have a diary, some secrets are just about me which I am sometimes not comfortable sharing with anyone. So I write. 🤠
2. Do you like cleaning your room? 😆
I would like to confess that I am not a cleanliness-freak and my room is even filthy sometimes, but (usually) it’s tidy. But specially during exam time when I really need to focus, I want my environment tidy. (So you can say I become a cleanliness-freak during exam-period 😂)
3. What type of stories do you like reading? (eg. fantasy, mythology)
I like reading fiction/thriller books (like Harry Potter) and non-fiction books (like Think Like A Monk, by Jay Shetty).
4. If you would start up a bakery, what would you call it? 🎂
As awfully obvious it sounds, if I ever had a bakery I would name it “Geet’s Bakery” 😅
5. When you hear the word “food”, which food comes to your mind first?
Rajma Chawal! Kadhi Chawal! These are the top 2 Indian dishes that I love. Yes, Indian cuisine if my favourite. 💗
6. Do you like collecting a particular object? (like sea shells or stamps)
Yes! I LOOOVE collecting MEMORIES! I write all the happy or sad memories in my diary so I can refer them back when I’m old, it will be amazing to look back and read about how I felt at that particular point in time long back. So yes, I love collecting MEMORIES!
7. A country that you would really love to visit! ✈
I can’t name a specific country which I want to visit. But I really want to visit the WIMBLEDON stadium! I know it’s not a country but it’s still a Tennis Stadium, located in UK. Anyway, I really want to visit WIMBLEDON TENNIS STADUIM, the biggest Tennis championship is held there. My Papa has been there in 2019 and described amazing stories about what he saw and how he felt when he was taking a tour of that place. I am really into TENNIS! (Any Tennis lovers out there? 😉) So I would love to visit WIMBLEDON if I ever get a chance to do so!
Thank you for nominating me, SID. The questions were pretty interesting! 😉
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
I’m pretty sure that there is a wonderful thing that happened to you this morning. Maybe the sun cheered you up after long rainy days. Or, maybe someone prepared your breakfast this morning and it was a surprise. You should always be thankful for these kind of things.
Sometimes, it’s easier to focus on what we don’t have, rather than what we do have. It’s important to take time out and remember all of the things to be thankful for that many of us take for granted.
“Gratitude opens the door to…the power, the wisdom, the creativity of the universe. You open the door through gratitude.”
I’m a 13-year-old and grateful for everything I have!
And I’ve noticed that the more grateful I am, the more beauty I see.
I’m grateful for so many things!
Some of them are:
Learning from mistakes
An opportunity to get an education and (last but not the least)
MY LOVELY READERS!
That’s not enough, actually! I am grateful for so many more things that it would take me ages to write them here!
This pandemic has taught me what gratitude actually means. Most of the times I was cribbing about the things I didn’t have, but when this pandemic started I couldn’t even go anywhere and buy something I like! Then I started to respect all the things I had, instead of cribbing for things I didn’t. Gratitude is one of the best medicines, I believe. It heals your mind, your body and your spirit and attracts more things to be grateful for.
“There’s no place like home”. We all know the feeling., after that long trip away, when you finally get to climb in to your own familiar bed.
Home is where our story begins, the place where we grow up, under the supervision of our parents and the supportive nature of our siblings and grandparents, it is the place where memories are created and families are bonded. It is not a place, but a feeling, emotion, something which is close to your heart, something where you would like to end your day after a hectic & a stressful day. It is not only a structure made of brick, stones, etc. but something which is standing strongly on hopes, dreams, hard-work and efforts.
My home is situated in Noida, a satellite town near Delhi in Uttar Pradesh, India. A very fast moving place, yet I love it. I live in an apartment and it is not a very large one, yet it has all the joy and happiness that I could ever dream of. We are a family of 6 who stay together in our home, me, my father, my mother, my younger sister and the best part…. my grandparents!
No matter where I go, there’s no place like home!
There is so much of fun and joy at my home. Though we fight for small things, my parents make us realize about all the good things in life and we try understanding them. My grandparents tell me interesting stories of the time when they were kids! And our home kept us safe where we stayed to avoid social contact during this pandemic 🙂
My home is sweet and as we see it, it is really “Home Sweet Home”. As the saying goes “A house is built by hands, but a home is built by hearts”, our home is also built by hearts. A warm, welcoming and loving place is what my home is.
I remember how fun I had in school with my friends. I remember how much fun I had in travelling. I remember how much fun I had in shopping with my friends and family! Ah, I wish I could go back to that time and relive those moments. I just wish I had a time-machine, like Doraemon 😂
Sometimes I start to tear up when I remember these moments with my friends and family… I am sure you miss the fun moments you too had before the pandemic!
But let’s not lose hope and always remember that “Life is a circle of happiness, sadness, hard times and good times. If you are going through hard times have faith that good times are on the way.”
During these tough times,
Let’s just be there.
For our family.
For our friends.
For all the ones we love.
For all the ones who need our help.
Let’s not make it tougher for ourselves and just wait for the good times to come.
This my first blog post and I am excited to be here and share a few thoughts with you.
